- 129 -38.5, 141 -38.5, 141 -26, 129 -26, 129 -38.5
Note: The format for each Geographic extent name is: Name - Identifier - Category - Jurisdiction (as appropriate)
Geographic bounding box:
The bounding box encloses the maximum extents of the dataset. There may be voids or gaps within the bounding box, depending on the defined coverage of the dataset. Outer bounding rectangle as Latitude/Longitude coordinates based on the WGS84 datum (expressed as both Degrees Minutes Seconds and as decimal Degrees):
- North bounding latitude: 26 00 00.0 S (-26)
- South bounding latitude: 38 30 00.0 S (-38.5)
- East bounding longitude: 141 00 00.0 E (141)
- West bounding longitude: 129 00 00.0 E (129)
Lineage:
Dataset originally created in 1994 from State and National Heritage Registers, Roadside Vegetation Surveys, known populations of rare flora and Aboriginal Heritage Surveys. Data has been added as information sources change and new surveys completed.
Positional accuracy:
Horizontal accuracy is approximately +/- 20 m using Transport SA road maintenance worker system. Veritcal accuracy is not documented.
Attribute accuracy:
Classification method and attribute accuracy varies between site types. A high degree of accuracy for cultural heritage, national and state registers. For vegetation sites, accuracy maybe lower as the classification and survey methods differ.
Logical consistency:
Not Relevant
Completeness:
A significant proportion of documented sites of cultural and natural heritage are believed to be included. The register grows as further surveys are completed and items added to national and state heritage registers.
