Description

Abstract:

Lists vertebrate specimens in the SA Museum research collection. Vertebrate collections consist of four discrete databases including Mammals, Birds, Reptiles and Amphibians and Fish. Each entry corresponds to a particular specimen, or species lot, with data on date and place of collection, collector and other information. Collection is primarily of SA material but does include specimens from other parts of Australia and the world. Organisation of the data began in 1911, however some specimens and data predate 1911.
